Safety Break-away couplings are used where there is a risk of pull away accidents, normally where road tanker loading and unloading is taking place. Ship to shore loading/unloading is another process where a breakaway coupling could be beneficial.

Installation of safety breakaway couplings can potentially minimise downtime, protect expensive equipment and save fluid loss to the environment (valved versions).
